Cotton Recovering at Midday Alan Brugler - BRUG - Wed Nov 18, 11:35AM CST After Turnaround Tuesday’s pullback, front month cotton futures are back 45 to 57 points in the black led by Dec . Since the turn of the month, December futures are 36 points higher, but have traded within a 2.88 cent range. The national average cash cotton price from cmdtyView was 68.05 cents yesterday. Monday action on The Seam saw a 15 week high of 14,787 bales sold at a 68.07 cents/lb average price. The Cotlook A index jumped 135 points higher on 11/17 back up to 77.80 c/lb. This week’s AWP for cotton is 56.71 cents/lb. Certified stocks from ICE were 6,944 bales higher to 107,126 bales. Memphis alone had 77,119 bales certified. Dec 20 Cotton is at 69.68, up 57 points, | Mar 21 Cotton is at 71.82, up 52 points | May 21 Cotton is at 72.63, up 45 points | Jul 21 Cotton is at 73.35, up 48 points |
