Cotton Trades in Red

Midday cotton trading has futures 25 to 43 points lower in classic Turnaround Tuesday fashion after the big gains on Monday. The weekly NASS Crop Progress report showed 69% of the crop had been harvested through 11/15. That was up 8% on the week and still 5% points ahead of average pace. The Cotlook A index fell back 20 points to 76.45 c/lb on the 16th. This week’s AWP for cotton is 56.71 cents/lb.

Dec 20 Cotton is at 69.14, down 43 points,

Mar 21 Cotton is at 71.33, down 25 points

May 21 Cotton is at 72.17, down 29 points

Jul 21 Cotton is at 72.82, down 30 points
