Cotton Sees Red on Wednesday

Cotton futures posted 24 to 57 point losses in most contracts on Wednesday. The US dollar index was up 252 points on the day. Certified deliverable cotton stocks were up another 4,949 bales to 83,423 bales on Wednesday. The Seam showed 3,105 bales sold on Tuesday for an average gross price of 68 cents/lb. That was down 2.34 cents/lb from the previous day. The Cotlook A index was up 140 points to 77.60 cents/lb. The AWP for cotton is 56.01 cents/lb, good through tomorrow’s trade.

DEC 19 Cotton closed at 69.28, down 57 points,

MAR 19 Cotton closed at 71.41, down 24 points

MAY 20 Cotton closed at 72.33, down 31 points

JUL 20 Cotton closed at 73.04, down 33 points
