Cotton Lower on Wednesday

Cotton futures are down mostly 31 to 52 points at midday. USDA made minimal changes to the world ending stocks on Monday, raising them by only 310,000 bales. Overall production was down slightly by 160,000, with use down the same. A majority of the shift was from 19/20 carryover. The Seam showed 3,105 bales sold on Tuesday for an average gross price of 68 cents/lb. That was down 2.34 cents/lb from the previous day. The Cotlook A index was up 140 points to 77.60 cents/lb. The AWP for cotton is 56.01 cents/lb, good through tomorrow’s trade.

DEC 19 Cotton is at 69.33, down 52 points,

MAR 19 Cotton is at 71.34, down 31 points

MAY 20 Cotton is at 72.32, down 32 points

JUL 20 Cotton is at 73.02, down 35 points
