Cotton Market Up Triple Digits

Cotton futures are showing midday gains of 121 to 154 points, bolstered by big US stock market gains and positive news on the coronavirus vaccine front. The dollar is slightly firmer after bouncing off of trendline support. Sales on The Seam through Thursday were 11,088 bales at a wtd average price of 67.36 cents/lb. USDA’s weekly Cotton Market Review showed the week’s spot sales ranged 64.02 to 65.67 cents for a 65.02 cent/lb average. The Cotlook A index again was firm at 77 cents/lb for 11/06. The AWP for cotton is 56.01 cents/lb.

Dec 20 Cotton is at 69.83, up 121 points,

Mar 21 Cotton is at 71.64, up 149 points

May 21 Cotton is at 72.53, up 151 points

Jul 21 Cotton is at 73.23, up 148 points
